We're on home stretch now. The next thing to do is to populate the printed circuit board with components. If you know the resistor color code, it's a snap. Now that I think about it, even if you don't, it goes real fast because the colors are shown in the instructions. So even though there are about 50 parts on the board, you can get the whole thing done very quickly, in about an hour.

Resistors with spacers

First, mount the 5 watt resistor R1 and the four 150 ohm resistors on spacers. Don't draw the 150 ohm resistors down tightly to the board when you solder them because they will be bent over next.


Printed circuit board, stuffed and ready to install

Install each of the components on the board, being careful to pay attention to the polarity of diodes and electrolytic capacitors.

Next, we'll put the PCB into the chassis and connect the tubes and transformers.
