I agree with you, 100%. It's my favorite amp in the under $1000 class. In fact, I find myself playing it more than any of my other amps, in spite of cost. It sounds great, and that blue light and orange glow of the tubes, maybe that's what gets me.
Do the mods I suggested in the "Stoetkit mods" post. They cost hardly anything and will reduce noise substantially. Not that the Stoetkit makes much noise - It was very quiet right out of the box, much more so than the other entry level kits out there. But after you do these mods, you won't have any noise at all, even if you're running ultra-high-efficiency horns.
