I have started a 2 way speaker system very much based on your 2 way Jazz module. There are some variations, the following is my components:
1. compression driver, De250(very nice and dynamic)
2. H100, Horn from RCF(very good and very cheap works very well with DE250)
3. 10" woofer alnico(very old Japanese driver, no brand name), sounds very good though.
the above combo houses in a 70litre floor standing cabinet.
The sound is very good, however it lacks the bass extension, I add an external subwoofer, that adds much weight to the bass(sound different from open baffle bass)
My question is that, will the system improves with internal ie built-in woofer rather than an external subwoofer. I have room in my cabinet to mount a side firing woofer cross around 100-120 Hz, Will this design work well? Any inputs?
