I presume what you're doing is paying attention to matching up the radiation pattern of woofer and horn in the crossover region, and I think this is going in the right direction. Smooth power response does make a difference. Even with conventional cone-n-dome speakers, those with smooth power response sound better to me even if that means sacrificing the on-axis response.

What are you using for your high frequency section, or have you decided yet?
