Not sure what you're asking, but both front and rear chamber volumes are critical. Stick with the dimensions shown in the plans for best results.
Front and rear chamber volumes are important in any horn design, but even more so in the 12π basshorn subwoofer, because distortion reduction is accomplished by maintaining symmetry in the load. Push-pull drive is there to cancel asymmetries, so we sure don't want to introduce any.
