On the eminence website, they say the recommended enclosure volume for the alpha 8 is 1.1 to 1.8 cf. Your design is 1 cf for the external dimension of the cabinet, so maybe its .8 or.9 cf for the internal volume.

Why go with a smaller box than recommended?
