Hi. Just got myself a pair of JBL 2235H (more on this in a later post) and was looking at the gasket on the frame. No gasket on the back of the rim, but a really good looking set on the front of the frame.

Considering that most drivers are front-mounted, what is the purpose of the gastet in front. Is it there to hold the surround in place? If so, there must be a better way to do this. Perhaps an aluminum ring instead of cardboard.

Gar.
