What does everyone here think about the new SACD and DVDA audio formats? They are supposed to have more resolution than normal redbook audio cds, and have much higher bandwidth. Many people seem to think that they can hear past 20khz, but if this is true, then why do loudspeaker manufacturers such as JBL and Eminence not design their high frequency drivers to go that high in frequency? I won't lie, I think the new formats are designed for one reason and that is so that the record labels can make more money.

What does everyone else think? Is their any benefit to the new standards, or is it all just marketing BS?
