Getting started on building the boxes when I discovered the corners that these speakers will be placed in have baseboard heating running thru them. They're 8 inches high and extend out about 3.5 inches and impossible to move.
Could I extend the front and first set of side panels(without changing the box dimensions) say 9-10 inches past where they meet the bottom panel? Would this gap have a negative impact on the sound? Or would some kind of solid base be more practical? Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
