Is there any disadvantage to putting rear ports on stand mounted 2 way PA speakers? I plan on building some with 15" Eminence Kappa 15LFA woofers, and since these need to be easily lifted, I don't want the sides (i.e. handles on the sides) too far apart. I want to make the baffle as narrow as possible (to an extent) and put the ports on the back. Would this do any harm? they will most likely be out in the room a little, I can't imagine them being jammed against a wall or something. Another option is to just put them under the woofer (not offset to the side), this would work too, but I just want to know all of my options. Thanks!
