I've done a simple experiment on EAC's varying copy speed. It's set to tell EAC I want 1x copies but it must know better than me what's right. Here are the results ...
I have a few of my dad's old CD-R's that are 8x. EAC copies onto those at 7.9!
On a CD-RW I'm using, the max write speed is 12x. It's copying those files at 10x .
Last one. On a black Memorex CD-R with a potential of 48x, it copies, again, at 7.9.
I guess it DOES know better than me. Anyway, the copies sound just fine.
