If anyone is still interested,( Man, this is an old conversation) this is the best layout you can have IMHO. Shelving and pegboards attached to the wall for tools and the small parts of a bigger project.

A large table for the larger parts of the job and for assembly of the smaller parts onto the large ones, with a vices and C-clamps attached to the edges of the table.

A few large overhead shop lights over the table, and smaller work lights over the shelving.
