My dad just got a surround sound system with a $500 Reciever. For his conveniece in his old age he wants to set up a clapper to the reciever so he can turn it off with the sound of a clap by shutting off the power to the reciever and not pressing the actual on/off button. Can this potentially be bad for the reciever???
