helloyes this is a stupid mistake kinda deal, but I need help all the same.
While prodding my home made clean boost pedal, the positive in crossed itself with the earth wire (on the input jack). After picking myself up from the mini light show I was treated to, and resetting the fuse it blew (grr) I went to set things back up and try it all out.
Nothing was working.
At first I blamed the pedal, but it turns out thats fine.
Then after checking all my pedals one by one, i realized it was the amp.
If you listen really carefully you can tell it wants to amplify something, but it doesn't sound like anythings getting in to be amped.
kinda like if you just unplug your guitar and turn it up. not very exciting.
my personal guess is the input transformers gone.
but is this possible? (i really don't know).
It's a Vox P10 Pathfinder
(so..it's not like I blew my AC30 or anything...not that I have an AC30...thankfully, or else I might have just blown it).
Any way, any help would be much appreciated. And hopefully i won't have to buy anything else.
I'll also have it taken to an electrician, but it's always nice to know what's actually going on inside my now totally noiseless amp.
Cheers
Jonny.
