The Zenith TransOceanic is a great multi-band shortwave and medium wave receiver. Find one on eBay if you can. Expect to pay $200-400 for one in good shape. You can find them as low as $100 with rough cabinets and/or not working. So with a little fix-it-up, you can have a top-notch radio for a couple hundred bucks.
