Hi all,
After months of searching for a DIY (or affordable) speaker with decent sensitivity (91dB+ spl) I have finally settled on the 2Pi bookshelf. The towers are a bit too large for my small room.
Any help with crossover components would be great. I'd like to get decent components but at an affordable price. Eg, I think the 10 uf Obbligato Gold caps are good enough at £25 each, rather than Mundorfs at double the price. I have used them before and they were fine. Also, am in the UK, so they have to be available on hificollective or other uk audio DIY sites.
I have no idea about the thickness/gauge of the copper wire in the inductor (0.5mH).
Also, what have people used for sound absorption/damping the cabinet.
Any opinions or advise on any aspects of the build will be greatly appreciated
Cheers,
Ade
