With some people though, paying for extra songs when they don't know what they sound like yet is part of the whole audio experience. Just because an artist released a song to be a hit for the public, doesn't mean they didn't record a song that will be a hit for you personally. We all have different tastes.

I get the concept of saving money in this way, but some people love ALL music, and those are the one's that will keep vinyl alive in my opinion.
