Hi, I believe the decline of CDs has two main causes...one they won't fit into a pocket sized player. Two, for digital music, hi-rez downloads have higher quality and you only need to buy the songs you want, not 10 you didn't to get the one on a CD you really wanted. I blame that on the artists and marketing folks. Someone has a hit and they stuff (frequently but not always) a whole lot of duds on the disk with it. Duh, you end up paying 10 times as much as if you just downloaded the single.
