Hello,
Some while back I mentioned in a post about the mods for AR turntables I had obtained from Anthony Scillia. Mr Scillia is in the process of bringing back the Merrill Mods to AR turntable. Previously I had told of the fine work he did crafting a delrin arm board with SME mount to allow use of an Infinity black Widow tone arm. I also obtained the extended stud kit and Linn spring set. I received the delrin inner platter with stainless shaft and threaded stud, but can't use it untill the acrylic platter is done. I have however received the lead mats, a smaller one for the inner platter and a larger one for the main platter. I placed the larger mat on the platter in place of the "others" which include, Linn felt mat, the ringmat, and Herbies mat. Heretofor I had herbies as the champ over both ringmat or felt. This lead mat is the bomb! Even on the stock platter with no clamp it provides noticeablr improvements in low level resolution area as well as tightening bass. Basically it is a very thin sheet of lead, but a great mat for the AR or other similar platters. Can hardly wait for the platter.

Regards,
Russellc
