I can tell you now it is the same. The rap was that the difference is they cull the best bearings for the 300, but I am not positive that is the reason. The reason given for starting out with the 250 is that the arms are the same essentially so why not use the less expensive unit. Brit audio in Pennasylvania seems to have pretty good prices.
