Have it keyed to a proximity or motion sensor that triggers when you walk to the door. Depending on the audio gear it should be possible. I would use a manually controlled amp so the volume and input could be pre-selected. Any source could be used as long as it starts up in the mode you want. A vinyl LP would be perfect as you could have it in the start mode and turn the power off before you left. It would continue to "start" when the power came back on. Lots of possibilities. A digital system could be even better with it preprogramed to do what you want.

Good Listening
