Mine did that too. It was a two-fold problem for me: The pinch roller was gummy and needed to be replaced. Check that - it's pretty common - If the roller feels tacky to the touch, it must be replaced. However, mine also needed an adjustment. I was lucky though - I'm told that the motors are fairly common failure modes and I'm not sure you can get those anymore. Do a search here for "Pioneer" because there are lots of posts about this unit.
