I recently purchased some isoaltion pads for my monitor but haven't really noticed any improvement. I got them to help with some vibration issues between my monitor and table. Has anyone had success with them?

What was your first guitar amp? Mine was this small Vox amp, I believe it was the Pathfinder. It was simple, had a few knobs and a button for going into overdrive. 16 year old me loved it.

I've started teaching a few classes for underprivileged kids. I have a shoe-string budget to work with, most of the money is going to rent instruments. Where can I find affordable music books for beginners?

I found something that sums up a lot in short order. A very informative piece about the recording industry and where the business side of it is going. Enjoy.

I'm looking for something to edit some sound on my videos and I was wondering if this would be an inexpensive way to do it? Can anyone speak to the cost of this?

I'm trying to remove the microphone hissing sound and background noise on a recorded song. Why does the sound occur to begin with? The room was silent except for the instruments playing. I've downloaded audacity and will use it to fix the audio (hopefully), but it would be much simpler to stop the issue to begin with. What should I do differently while recording?

Can we say that this is just an upgrade to the mixers we are used to? The fact that it combines, routes and changes the dynamics and other properties of audio input signals using digital computers seems more of an upgrade.

I'm working on a new video and need some stock sound. Usually I just use the open and royalty-free libraries online, but this time I have a budget. I'm looking for something more, but I don't want to waste money, so any suggestions of sites or libraries would be really helpful.

I'm always amazed by those who can make musical arrangements. The combination of the sounds and the harmonies seem to be infinite for these people. How exactly do they do it? Is there a general concept to follow, or is it only based on instinct?
