I heard those in Earl Geddes DI matched two-ways and they sounded nice to me. The electro-mechanical specs make it a drop-in replacement for a JBL 2226, so I expect it would work very well in the Pro four π loudspeaker.

In Earl's 4-way comparison, the B&C drivers beat out the TAD drivers, though by an almost insignificant margin.

Someone should try them in a Pi speaker and tell us how they sound. They might make for a more affordable pro.

I prefer the JBL 2226, but it's twice as expensive. For the cost, I think the B&C driver is good. The Eminence Magnum 15HO is a nice part too, but can't be used in a DI matched two-way because it rolls off too soon.

Have you listened to just about every driver under the sun? I assumed you'd never heard the B&C, though I don't know why I assumed that.

Thanks for your thoughts, though.

I appreciate your comments on the B&C woofer. There are plenty of drivers I haven't heard, but this one happens to be one I have. It's a pretty good part and I think it sounds good.
