i was wondering about the idea of mixing the corner horns and the bass reflex speaker in a multi-channel theater setup. specificly the professional series seven pi-18's and the pro series four pi's i know i might be anal but both THX and DTS recommend three identical speakers across the front three channels. I know the speakers use matching drivers but are they timbre matched?
also is their anyone in the Des Moines, Iowa area that has some pi speakers that i can listen to?

That's a very good option if you use the JBL 2012 for the midrange driver on your pro sevens. Eminence speakers are good too, but if you're trying to match characteristics, stick with an all-JBL or an all-Eminence set.
