Wayne,
below in your "showroom in Tulsa" post you show some photos, among them
is one of the seven PI corner horn with mid horn and a tweeter horn.
Maybe its the angle of the photo, but this mid horn does not appear to have the larger box built around it like the plans for the mid horn.

Three questions:

1. What is being used on the back of this particular mid horn w/o
the box shown in the plans?

2. What sort of mounts are holding the mid horn and tweeter horn on?

3. Could I see a picture of this particular speaker ( or one like it)
from the rear?


I really like the look of your "open" mid horn without that big honking box that kind of looks like a slice of K horn. Plus, it would be one less building project.

You're right. I built several prototype models of the midhorn with no cabinet. The photo you saw is one of them. The thing is that this lets the rear wave develop into the corner, interfering with the front wave, and so I don't recommend it. Still, it sounds pretty good. It's not like it sucks when the cabinet is omitted.
