.....IT SUCKS! Has anyone ever heard one right upfront or did everyone do as I did and immediately switch the M115 for the 2226J's that came in the 4648? I took out the 2226J's and removed the 811B horns from the drivers to prep the baffles on the new speak cabs and put the virgin M115's back. Like throwing a pile of blankets over the speakers. I guess they'll be okay as surrounds. The M115's go low like the Eminence Alpha 10's. But not as crisp and clear. Not even close. Perhaps I'll put the Delta Pro's in the box instead. Then all I have to do is figger out what to do with the PSD-2002/Peavey CH-3's. Anybody want'em?

The midwoofer in those is good but not great. It doesn't rise to the level of quality of comparible JBL 22xx parts like the 2205, 2225 and 2226, but it does sound pretty good.
.., At first thats just what I though. The only reason I posted was just in case, to be at the front of the line. I just built great studio speakers from parts of failed projects past. It's amazing what you can build with stuff once you figure out why you "really" kept it.
