Yes, I transposed the port and tweeter hole sizes. :{
5.75" long for 2.75" I.D. or 6.5" long for 2.88" I.D. [message #38741 is a reply to message #38740] Sat, 19 October 2002 18:24 Go to previous messageGo to next message

Hi Patrick!

You can use a 5 3/4" long duct that's 2 3/4" diameter with good results. The problem now will be finding a 2 3/4" diameter tube. You may want to go up to 3" port material, which actually has 2.88" inside diameter since wall thickness is 0.060". You can find this port material at www.PaperMart.com. If you choose the 3" diameter duct (2.88" I.D.), you'll want it to be 6 1/2" long.

Take care!

Wayne

Hi Patrick,

I've got a piece of 2 3/4" o.d. .125" wall thickness acrylic tube that I would gladly give you if your interested. Send me an E-mail if so. Are you ever in the Cambridge/Somerville area during the day?

If a 2.5" I.D. port is used on a Studio Series two π Speaker, it should be 4.5" long.
