The Omega Pro 15" is pretty close to that woofer.

Fs 39
qts .35
vas 196 litres

It has an EBP of 109. Here are a couple others.
Kappa Pro LF 15" - EBP 117
Kappa 15" - EBP 115
Magnum 15HO - EBP 117

Those are their 15" drivers with the higher EBP's.

Hi Zeno

look at Madisound's Eminence 151311 @$79US

pretty close to your Visaton

fs/qes=119.375
fs=38.2,qes=0.32,qms=7.73,vas=299l,re=5,xmax=5.5mm, mms=60.1g,BL=14.9

Le isn't specified but I'd guess around 1mH - goes out>3Khz on axis as direct radiator - am looking at it for inexpensive Karlson driver

Hi adam & freddy,

Many thanks for the infor and advice

i intend to build the visaton MB 115/b bass horn with eminence driver, the visaton bqs 40 driver is reather difficult to obtain here in my country, i wrote to them but they did not reply, infact it would be to expensive to get them in from Germany, for the eminence they have the distributor here and i can get them at good price, beside i like the good old American sound.

i really have no experience with all this stuff but very keen to learn and experience with speaker especially horn speaker, from what i see i think the Kappa 15 is close to the spe of the visaton driver, i may be wrong.

i would really appreciate your help to realize my intention.

Zeno

My only concern would be excursion... The Kappa 15 is a hurting unit in that department.

You might want to consider JBL drivers as well... Much more expensive, but you can probably find something that will match the driver you want in all categories, including xmax.

probably the light-cone Kappa Pro 15 with ~3mm xmax would do OK for the Viston horn - you're probably going to get ~300-350Hz HF corner then go into a slow slope region - in US, cast-frame "Pro" versions of Eminence cost about the same as stamped-frame models - mainly paying for magnet

best wishes!
Freddy

You should really model it with something like Hornresp to know what you're dealing with.
