I've been making my own trammels for years but now that I'm working in my living room I bought the Jasper. What a pleasure to use! Just stick the pin in to the nearest 1/16 and go. Excellent.

Borrowed a brand new P-C 2 H.P. plunger model 7529 to use with the Jasper. What a piece of junk! Sure the housings metal; cheap rough castings; the depth stop turret is a kludge, the fine adjustment looks like it would last a week; and so forth.

For over thirty years all my tools have been Porter-Cable. No more.

I'm getting a Freund FT 2000. Poweful ergonomic beauty, $30 less.

That Jasper Jig sure was handy. I've got to admit that that is a great product. As to the router, I was happy to use a $99 Craftsman plunge router I got for Christmas. It beat the heck out of using a jigsaw.
