Hey Wayne and group

graphed Eminence CD-8 on Peavey CH-2 - mic may have been too close as it showed very level/smooth FR to 12.5Khz rolloff point both on and ~20 degrees off axis - 'ears' say its subjectively dull/unbalanced compared to 'old school' horn

when using w. typical 97-99dB 15" direct radiator - what might be workable cap bypassed series pad starting point? - didn't have much luck trying a couple of value caps across series leg of L-pad although Peavey horn designer suggested that method

I have no experience with either the CD-8 or CH-2, but I can certainly give you copies of my schematics for 800Hz and 600Hz crossovers. Both have compensation for rolloff at higher frequencies. They're set to begin augmentation a little sooner than the 1.6kHz crossover because the response band is shifted down when using the larger horns that these crossovers are designed for. I'm not at my office right now, but I'll send 'em to you if you're interested. Just let me know.
