Time to wire up the Theatre 4's. Shortest signal path would put the crossover on the front baffle between the tweet and woof. Using a sorbothane pad under the board for dampening. Any reason not to put it there? Any better location? One more thing. The fancy binding posts I got came with solder lug/washers, kinda what you see with some female RCA's. Why the heck would you want to ground the speaker wires? Or are they intended for the signal wires? They're Daytons from Parts Express.

hi till, place the x-over outboard. buy some cardas or wbt binding posts and wire the woofer through them. leave the x-over outside ( mine are on the floor behind the cabinets) this way you never have to open the cabinets and the x-over is available for unlimited tweaking. us freaks always need something to do, even when we are happy with the sound. cheers, george

Thanks, guys. I'm going inboard, the tweeking is done: Auricaps, Mills wirewounds, Jena wire. And there's that great big hole to get back inside down the road. This time tomorrow I should be disturbing the peace. They look awesome, can't wait to hear them. Let you know how they sound. Sweaty roadies and 200 volts, Yikes!
