Hi Wayne, is 4" PVC okay for the port?
If I can lay hands on a digital camera can I qualify for Pi decals?

PVC pipe will work just fine for your port. Send me your mailing address and I'd be happy to send you a couple Pi logo decals.

Hi Wayne,

If you were designing a speaker for a theater or an auditorium, would you then increase the box volume? I think this would give you more lows and a sharper roll off, giving up some control. I guess you could also equalize instead (like KEF and Bose did).

In the case of most high efficiency woofers, PiAlign tends to make cabinets that are relatively small and slightly overdamped. Overdamped alignments are very forgiving of parameter shifts and room conditions. The relatively small box is also convenient, although larger boxes potentially offer greater extension.
