The ART rules on the subject:
Defamatory statements are those that harm the reputation of another using untrue, exaggerated or equivocal information. You may state your opinions and you can describe your own observations, but you cannot make false statements that discredit a person, company or product.

You may not accuse a person or company of being dishonest, committing fraud, etc.

Stick to your experiences and your opinions, based on what you know rather than on what others said or wrote.

These Forum rules are *NOT* suggestions and form the basis of what could be called a major difference between ART and "the rest". A reasonable portion of my most recent postings can certainly be taken as partial and detail violations of these rules. I have no suggestion save wholesale removal of said postings.

I could justify my behaviour in several ways, and none of these 'ways' are mentioned in the ART rule book. I would only suggest that the moderation team use the ART spirit *AND* letter of the law in dealing with my postings.

Cheers and Happy Thanksgiving everybody,
Douglas
