Need to eliminate the volume pot from the SV811-10 amp. The schematic calls for a 100k pot. My question: Do I replace with a 100k ohm resistor from input/grid to ground, or is there a better value to use. I saw on another forum that someone suggested going with a 470k resistor when replacing a pot rated at 100k......Colin

I replaced with 100K just as you outlined. No problems.
