I finally made up my mind what I'm going to build. The circuit looks about as easy as it gets. More details to follow.

Wayne, What are the issues of reproducing this schematic either in part or whole? I'd like to be able to show a schematic, but I do not want to violate any copyright laws......Colin

Colin; look on the article it should have a copyright express statement.

I'll write Kittleson and see if he would allow the schematic to be posted here in reference to a Group Build project.

Colin, these amps run at a voltage close to 1,000 volts don't they? Just be careful choosing hookup wires to make sure the insulation's up to task. Ever seen electrical arcs in an amp?

Yeah, They run pretty high. Thanks for the heads-up. Within the next couple of days, I'd like to get a discussion going about each part of the circuit, not only regarding function but parts selection and build techniques.

Are you familiar with this particular amp?

.....Colin

Not this particular one, but I was very intrigue by 811 amps over the winter and collected and studied several designs.

I'm curious what intrigued you about this particular tube. Did you build one or go with another design? I really like the VTV design for its simplicity. Other than that I have no real thoughts or bias one way or the other....Colin
