Hi, nice to be back...
I built two "universal" CCS "module" on the PCB. Marker and nail- polish, then Fe-III-Chlorid, as usual...Thanks Doug for the mosfets:-)
I added local decoupling cap 1uF/630V (not necessary). Dimensions of the board are 32x75mm. As you can see, I didn`t install R3 yet, I planned to use a fixed resistor. I tried both CCS with battery and they worked, but didn`t try it in the real circuit so far...

Welcome back!

I'm eager to start an amp project. I know, I never got started on my preamp. But I did save a pair of 2A3's in the hopes we might do something with them here.

Thank you all.
New projects (2A3) - actually, I have SE 300B in my mind first. Probably I`ll write about it gradually - output stage, PS, various drivers, etc. - till the finished amp. I have many "breadboard" experiments in plan, expecting new PT from Netherlands, and I hope that I`ll find time/will to post it continuously... I`ll try my best, but don`t expect too much...

Damir, I never had a chance to properly thank you for your help with the preamp. Your hand drawn schematic was what I used to wire it up. I don't think I could have done it otherwise. There were a few glitches along the way, but they were my fault. See link for picture of the top.

I'm curious to see what amp you're working on now. Please keep us posted!!!

Colin
