The filter cap is not an electrolytic so why are some of the posters assigning polarity to it? Very confusing.

I'm assuming that the cap side that hooks to the choke is (+) simply because this is B+. This cap terminal is at a higher potentional than the CT terminal, which is hooked to the other side of the oiler, so it would be considered (-).....Colin

It's just how you look at it, which ever side you hook to ground becoms Neg. With an oil cap it don't matter which...John

It was just easier to type that way. Have been around electronics ling enough to know that very few caps putside the lytic's are polarized.
