The coupling cap; do we wire two of the 7.5 oils in parrallel? To get 4.7uf.

I hope the coupling cap is a single 7.5uF [message #30595 is a reply to message #30593] Sat, 19 February 2005 10:39 Go to previous messageGo to next message

save perhaps for the one not asked...

The coupling cap is a single 7.5 uF. Putting them in parallel would result in a 15 uF. Putting them in series would yeild 3.75 uf.

regards,
Douglas

No problem if you can`t find exactly 7,5uF - the value is not that critical, Doug prefers this cap (sound & lower impedance on low frequencies). This cap forms high-pass filter with the input impedance of your power amp. Even much lower values would work. I draw 4,7uF `cos it is the standard E12 value and can be find almost everywhere from the most manufacturers (of your choice:-)).
