Solder sucker from Digikey, Paladin 1700.

I've tried, and broken, several of the cheaply-made Solda-pults. This metal bodied one has a tip that won't melt and will suck a tennis ball thru a garden hose, so to speak.

Digikey part number PAL1700-ND $16.99

I've got a metal bodied one as well. I don't remember where I got it, maybe Ratshack. But it works just as you describe. Has the teflon tip and has good suction. I just remember to clean it out now and then so it still works. Lord knows it's been overworked already
