Didja ever wonder what's in that $11Bucks/Quart can of Minwax Pre-Stain?
RRL record cleaner costs less than that! A fifth 0f Gilbey's! A dime bag!
It's about 9/10 Mineral Spirits (maybe a bucks worth) and a dollop of Boiled Linseed Oil (value? = not even a round-off)
Do use the mixture, it will absolutely grab splotchy uneven penetration by the face mask and bring it to the ground.
