Came across these miter clamps in Fine Homebuilding and visited the website. Also has a very interesting router bit for joining sheet goods.

Hi Bill,

I'm good with a soldering iron but pretty much thumbs with the wood tools. But that clamp looks very helpful, even for woodworkers with fingers as well as thumbs.

They do bite into the piece.  The spiel speaks of the marks as 'cleaning up easily'; I've put point dings into the long grain of wood before, and they sure didn't clean up easily or completely.

For something like a grille frame, where we don't care, they look like a godsend, though.
