Is the Philips 42FD9954 42" plasma HD any good? Anyone seen it? There's a special going on where I can pick one up online for a good price, but I've rooted around and can't find any info like owner experience. They are all good at first, but as you get used to them the features really set in. Reliability also rears its head late in the game.

Jeff,

Philips makes a pretty good plasma TV. Do try to find one locally to see, even if it isn't the 42" one. That will give you an idea what Philips plasma screens are like. The 9954 is very nice and I think you will be pleased if you get it.
