I have a DVD player on the fritz and I'm planning to replace it. Anyone have any recommendations for a good combo DVD/CD player?

I just got a LiteOn 5500 DVD recorder, all format compatable,for $129. Why buy just a player?

Thats a great price for a DVD recorder. Are LiteOn reliable?

I must confess I have an LG - its not region free out of the box, but I found a code to make it region free online. I thought LG were a bad make, but so far it hasn't let me down.

If you want to save your bucks and be a wise buyer, take a look on Ebay. They have great deals of durable DVD/CD players.

It would be great if you'll prefer a durable DVD/CD players like AKIRA. Even if it's a little bit expensive, you can use it in a long period of time.

I have a Liteon in my computer. I use it quite a bit so I would have to say it's reliable!

I think the regular DVD players are pretty much the same. I would suggest you get a Blu-ray DVD player though. It seems that is the new technology and I bet soon it will be the only type of DVDS that you can buy.
