Where can I buy a good A/V switcher? I have 2 videotape decks, 2 DVD's (1 that records), a satellite receiver and cable. I want to be able to select an A/V output to my sound system and video monitor and also be able to switch between inputs and outputs between them so I can record what I want from where I want. Can I buy something like this or am I going to have to make my own?

Cheers!

Mark

Hi Mark,

I have a setup very similar to yours, and I could really use a switcher too. I have a lot of what I need built into my A/V preamp, but I could really use more. I have several A/V sources just like you, and only two A/V hookups. I have plenty of audio channels, but just two video channels so I really could use a switcher. I think I'll build one 'cause a metal box for shielding and a handful of connectors and switches is all I need. But if you find a commercial product that looks nice, please report back and I'll do the same.

Wayne
