I have a Fisher 500-T that I picked up at a second hand store. Cosmetically it is very nice, but the power fuse blows when the unit is plugged in. Obviously it needs some repair. I also have a Harman Kardon HK 450. I am currently using this receiver, but it really needs going through, as the switches and pots are dirty. If I were going to pick one of these units to put some money into, which should I choose? What I like to listen to is all over the map, but does not include hard rock, metal or rap.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

A 500T was part of the first setup I owned back in 1966. I liked it until I was bitten by the 3 year warranty Mac offered. All that said I'd put the money into the HK. I think it's a better machine.

IIRC the 500T has around 28 WPC and the HK has more than that.
