I cut my teeth listening to R&B from Ciudad Acuna, Mexico and "Cat's Caravan", a Saturday nite program on WRR-FM in Dallas, Texas. The former along with all the stations cats were listening to in North Dallas and elsewhere is given homage by white girl blues singer Angela Strehli on the opening track of her jump and blues album Blonde and Blue (Rounder). "First time I heard the Wolfman howl scared me half to death . . ahooooooo!"
