I have a Montgomery Wards Airline console radio that has a positive and a negative battery clips. The information sheet inside the radio reads: Model 62-215 7 tube 3 band "B" batteryless receiver. What does this mean?

It could be that the clips you are talking about are actually for antenna and ground.
