Hi,

This is my first post on the audio round table.

I would like no know which parts are in be included in Mmd.

Do you weigh the cone, coil, spider, surround, dust cap and lead in wires (everything that moves). Or is Mmd just the weight of the cone.

Thank you Wanye for the email about crossovers with large inductors making amp protection systems trigger early.

Mmd is the mass of the entire moving assembly. Mms is the moving mass plus the air load.

With due respect to u, i read somewhere that in Mmd, we hv to reduce the half weight of surround from the recone assembly or entire moving assembly.
