Are there any non-ugly wall treatments? I'm looking for something to do my opposing walls, something like the foam wedges but I don't want them to be so ugly. Suggestions?

Yes there are room treatments which are not ugly.

How you define "ugly" comes into play. Being massive in itself may be intruding or ugly.

You can get neat ones out there.

You might consider installing an acoustical soffit instead. Check with a consulting firm if you're really serious.
